Description:
Small
deciduous tree. Young leaves are bright golden-yellow, fading to
chartreuse-green later. Drooping racemes of yellowish-green flowers in spring,
followed by winged fruits.
Cultivation:
Moist,
well drained, fertile soil in sun or part shade. Can scorch in hot, dry
conditions in summer.
Prune
if required, by removing dead or unwanted branches in late autumn to midwinter.
Can also be cut back hard to produce more leafy growth.
Propagation:
By
grafting in late winter, or bud-grafts in late summer.
